Court Usage & Warm-Up

The majority of matches will be played on Courts 1 to 6. Courts 7 and 8 will be designated as warm-up courts in most instances.

Matches are scheduled to time and may be called up to 20 minutes early. With warm-up courts available, there should be no reason for a player not to be ready. Once a match is called, play must commence promptly.

Warm-up courts are for players entered in the event only — not for friends, family, parents, or coaches.

Coaching Accreditation

This is a Coach Accredited event and is run in accordance with Badminton New Zealand protocols.

The following rules apply to all coaches:

  • All coaches must hold a current BNZ Coach Accreditation

  • Accreditation must be visibly displayed at all times when coaching courtside

  • Coaches without a visible pass will not be permitted to coach — a verbal claim of accreditation is not sufficient

  • If you have forgotten your accreditation pass, Badminton Wellington will endeavour to print a replacement pass at a charge of $10.00 to the coach

Kitchen & Refreshments

Please support our kitchen during the tournament. We will be serving a selection of food and beverages to help keep players’ energy levels up throughout the weekend, including:

  • Dumplings

  • Toasted sandwiches

  • Pork buns

  • Espresso coffee

  • Bubble tea

  • A selection of other items

Your support of the kitchen is greatly appreciated and helps Badminton Wellington continue to run events like this one, as well as supporting our Junior Rep programme.

We wish all players the very best of luck — enjoy the tournament!
