The Novice Doubles Tournament is your chance to test your skills in a fun and supportive environment.

 

UPDATE: Due to an error in our processes, we created some confusion around how to register for this event. In one place we asked for registrations via email, and in another we directed people to register through our tournament software. As a result, we ended up confirming twice as many teams as originally planned.

The solution, however, was simple. We made the decision to keep our word to the confirmed teams and adjusted our setup to accommodate the additional numbers. We now have 18 pairings ready to take the courts this Friday, some for the first time—good luck to everyone.

This event is specifically designed for newer players, offering you the opportunity to enjoy competitive matches, learn as you go, and share the excitement with a partner by your side.

Cost:

$7.50 per person (if entering as 'partner required')
$15 per pairing (when entering as a pair)

• Shuttles are provided.​

 

📊 Scoring System

The BWF Round Robin points system will be used to determine pool winners if pairings finish with equal wins.

🏆 Pool Structure

• Each pairing will be placed in a pool with 2 other pairings

• You will play both pairings in your pool

• 1st place finishers will enter a knockout draw with winners from the other 5 pools

• 2nd and 3rd place finishers will enter separate knockout draws

🥊 Knockout Stage

• 6 pairings per knockout bracket

• All pairings will play either 4 or 5 matches, depending on draw placement and results
