Badminton in Wellington has a proud history stretching back nearly a century, with the first clubs forming in the late 1920s and the Wellington Badminton Association officially established in 1934. When our players take the court today, they continue a legacy that began in local halls and community gyms, built on dedication, teamwork, and a love for the game.
